MRI Technologist II

The MRI Technologist II is responsible for producing high-quality images for medical diagnosis by performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures. This role requires excellent communication skills to explain procedures to patients and families, as well as the ability to work effectively with radiologists to administer medications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric imaging and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Perform MRI procedures to produce high-quality images for medical diagnosis
- Explain procedures to patients and families
- Assist radiologists in administering medications
- Prepare patients for imaging by administering contrast IV and non-IV
- Work effectively in a team environment to achieve high-quality patient care
- Minimum one year of outpatient and/or acute care MRI technologist experience with six months in a pediatric setting
- Graduate from an approved education program in Radiologic Technology or MRI
- Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others
- Able to work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure
- One year of acute care MRI technologist experience in a pediatric inpatient hospital
- Certified Radiologic Tech - CA
- American Reg Rad Tech - Radiography (ARRT-R)
The MRI Technologist II will work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of patient interaction. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and be able to communicate positively and professionally with others.
Physical DemandsThe MRI Technologist II will be required to lift 10 pounds and push/pull a 20-pound cart. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a standing position for extended periods and be able to bend, carry objects, and climb stairs as needed.
