Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist - Physical Security to join our team at Software Guidance and Assistance, Inc. (SGA) in Tampa, FL.

About the Job

In this role, you will be responsible for engineering physical security technologies at our firm, supporting the internal physical security organization. These technologies will be deployed globally to protect and monitor all firm facilities, from data centers and headquarters to branches, ATMs, and kiosks.

You will have experience delivering physical security solutions or technology solutions to large to medium enterprises and show the ability to quickly learn on the job. The ideal candidate will lead the technical product management of one or more physical security products, becoming the main point of contact and subject matter expert.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical product management of one or more physical security products.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure the product life cycle is managed.
  • Determine and enforce the product roadmap, working closely with vendors to ensure alignment with our vision.
  • Evaluate the marketplace for physical security technologies and test/certify best-of-breed products to our standards.
  • Develop in-house solutions where commercial products are not available.
  • Provide 3rd-level technical support to internal clients and businesses.
  • Write and publish designs, test results, best practices, and standards for a global audience.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology Systems, or Information Security, or equivalent working experience.
  • Up to five years of experience in an engineering role.
  • Thorough understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Unix.
  • Able to package in Windows or UNIX (including Linux).
  • Code development (.NET, SQL) experience and ability to rapidly take on new languages as necessary.
  • Good understanding of Information Security and industry best practices.
  • Knowledge of PKI security concepts, Active Directory, and MS SQL.
  • Knowledge of the project management life cycle (requirements gathering, project skills).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, required in English.
  • Highest level of integrity due to the sensitive nature of the information security role.
  • Must have strong technical writing skills and be able to communicate ideas and technical designs clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Must be comfortable working across geographies due to the global nature of the team.
  • Organizational and project management skills required.
  • Successful candidate should possess a strong work ethic, good interpersonal and communication skills, and a high energy level.
  • Able to independently work with vendors in resolving issues and developing solutions.
  • Able to deliver results independently and without constant supervision.
  • Experience in building highly available infrastructures.
  • Self-starter with a high level of initiative and self-leadership.
  • Proficient with MS Office - Visio, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Some experience in CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Fire & Safety, and control systems would be welcome.
  • Proficient in one or more computer languages.
Salary

The estimated salary for this role is between $120,000 and $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
