About the Role

In this position, you will work as an independent contractor, providing high-quality nursing care to patients in need. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Additionally, you will work closely with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, communicate effectively, and ensure that all necessary information is shared.

We are seeking candidates who possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. As a Travel Nurse RN Consultant, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities. This role offers flexibility and autonomy, allowing you to work independently while still being part of a larger team.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Assessing patient needs and developing individualized care plans
• Providing direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring patient conditions
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and share relevant information
• Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records, as well as adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and standards of practice
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to ongoing education and professional development

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:
• A current RN license in good standing, valid in New York State
• BSN degree or higher preferred, but not required
• Minimum one year of acute care experience, preferably in a related setting (e.g., medical-surgical, step-down)
• Current certification in BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS (American Heart Association), depending on the specific unit/department
• Strong knowledge of current nursing practices, trends, and research findings, as well as ability to apply evidence-based interventions to improve patient outcomes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations and teams

Salary and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary, estimated at $120,000-$150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Physical and Mental Demands

This role requires the ability to move about freely, frequently transporting objects up to 50 pounds and assisting with patient movements. You must also be able to remain stationary for extended periods, continuously assess and respond to rapidly changing situational needs, and adapt to a high-stress, fast-paced environment. As a nurse, you must be able to constantly operate computer equipment and other devices, concentrate on fine details with interruptions, and attend to multiple tasks simultaneously.
