**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance and Operations Specialist to lead our maintenance team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties, focusing on preventative maintenance, resident satisfaction, and cost-effective capital improvement projects.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Lead by example, demonstrating high standards and behaviors consistent with our core values
  • Hire, develop, and provide training opportunities to techs and community care associates
  • Show care and concern for residents through timely follow-up and completion of service tickets
  • Resolve maintenance issues in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair
  • Manage make-ready and apartment turnover processes to ensure timely leasing and resident move-in
  • Preserve property value through consistent execution of preventative maintenance programs
  • Sustain peak efficiency operation levels for all property components
  • Adhere to applicable building, county, and safety codes/standards while maintaining an accident-free operation

**Requirements:**

  • An education in the trades and 7+ years of experience in facilities and/or residential building maintenance
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience and a track record of hiring, developing, and retaining high-performing teams
  • HVAC, EPA, and/or NAPE certification
  • Knowledge of risk management, OSHA, and MSDS
  • Advanced level of skill in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair
  • Basic carpentry, drywall, and painting skills
  • Exposure to complex mechanical systems such as central plant, split systems, boilers, and chillers
  • A safety mindset and attention to detail
