Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of food service cases, storage areas, and workspaces.
  • Stock and maintain food service cases, including presentation, facing, and organization of products.
  • Rotate and inspect food products, discarding expired or spoiled items.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to inquiries and assisting with purchases and product selection.
  • Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy and quality.
  • Monitor point-of-purchase signs and maintain a variety of recipe cards, product coupons, and promotional materials.
  • Operate and maintain food service equipment, including knives, scales, and compactors.
  • Prepare food service items, using proper ingredients and cooking techniques.
  • Participate in pre-inventory preparation, including backstock and tag verification.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge and preparation skills.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalency degree.
  • 1-2 years of experience in grocery retail, preferably in food service.
  • Previous experience in natural foods industry is a plus.
