Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner - Patient Care Specialist to join our team at Owensboro Health.

About the Job

This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver High-Quality Patient Care: Provide direct nursing care to patients, assess their needs, and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal health outcomes.
  • Coordinate with Healthcare Teams: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and coordination of services.
  • Manage Patient Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate complex medical information to patients, families, and healthcare teams in a clear and concise manner.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Education: Master's degree in Nursing or related field; current RN licensure in Kentucky; BLS certification; ACLS certification within 12 months of employment.
  • Skills and Attributes: Critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; ability to work in a stressful environment; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
