Strategic Account Specialist in Government and Education for Fiber-Based Networking

Spectrum Enterprise is seeking a skilled Strategic Account Specialist to partner with government and education clients, highlighting our telecommunications products that resolve their complex technology needs.

After completing our award-winning training, you will provide dedicated account management and proactively pursue new clients using targeted email campaigns, cold calling, discovery calls, appointment setting, and client presentations.

  • Travel and consult with established and prospective clients to develop product solutions.
  • Navigate government and education procurement processes to set up successful sales.
  • Deliver product proposals and presentations to decision-makers and conduct negotiations.
  • Travel to client sites to manage field sales activities.
  • Identify target markets, industries, and contacts to expand our product portfolio.
  • Encourage client retention through coordinated efforts with multiple internal teams.

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Three or more years of sales experience as a proven sales performer.
  • Three or more years of outside telecommunications-related sales experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong network building, negotiation, closing, and interpersonal English communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and travel to and from assigned territories and company facilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of experience in B2B sales selling data, voice, cloud, or video solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience working with state and local government or education.
