Ship/Submarine Engineering Technician 3

We are seeking a highly skilled Ship/Submarine Engineering Technician 3 to join our team at M.C. Dean, Inc. in Jacksonville, FL.
Key Responsibilities- Support C4ISR system installations on ships and submarines
- Work with a team to install cabling, equipment, and devices
- Read and understand U.S. Navy ship installation drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and cable running sheets
- Operate installation hand tools and test equipment, including spectrum analyzers and voltmeters
- Dress cable installations to present a well-organized and professional appearance
- Assemble mechanical, sub-assembly, rack, and chassis components
- Lead teams and demonstrate superior leadership abilities
- Work in a mission-critical environment with superior workmanship
- Completion of a formal two-year or more contractor apprenticeship program in a related field
- Four years of U.S. military service with a technical rating in electronics or communications
- Associates Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or Information Technology
- At least two years of experience on U.S. Navy C4ISR installations
- Work primarily in Jacksonville, FL, San Diego, CA, and Norfolk, VA
- Travel to other shipyards in the USA and to other Navy ports outside the USA
- Pass a government security investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
- Hold a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record
- Lift at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period
- Relocate a 12-foot stepladder without assistance
- Work at heights up to 60 feet and climb and maintain balance on scaffolds and ladders
- Walk, climb, lift, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and reach overhead on a routine and repetitive basis
