Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist

The UMHS Psycho-Social Rehabilitation (PSR) Program is seeking a part-time Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team in Asheville. As a PSR Paraprofessional, you will work with individuals affected by mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse to help them achieve their full potential.
About the Role
This part-time position offers an estimated salary of $25,000 - $30,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting clients with daily living skills, providing emotional support, and promoting independence. Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living tasks, such as personal care and household chores
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients to promote independence
- Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized plans for clients
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to work varied schedules
