Job Description:

The Computed Tomography Technologist PRN performs a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. This position requires ingenuity, initiative, and independent judgment to produce high-quality scans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintains ARRT competency in all clinical and technical functions of the job
  • Operates CT equipment and related information systems to ensure production of quality images
  • Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam
  • Performs exams per department protocol
  • Reviews and evaluates images for quality, clarity, and accuracy
  • Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment
  • Completes studies within acceptable time limitations
  • Provides patient education, ensures patient comfort, and addresses patient and/or family concerns
  • Coordinates patient care and communicates pertinent information to other patient care providers
  • Practices infection control and sterile techniques
  • Keeps accurate records of patient information and procedures performed
Requirements:
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) within 60 days
  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (R) Upon Hire
  • Certified Computed Tomography Technologist - American Registry of Radiography Technologists ARRT (R)(CT), Preferred
  • Licensure in state of practice as applicable, Upon Hire
  • IV Competency within 90 Days
  • For caregivers hired in this role in the State of Colorado, a Fluoroscopy certification, Preferred
