About the Role

At Fresh Mark, Inc., we are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Associate to join our team in Northeast Ohio. This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for someone with prior experience in accounts payable/receivable to execute daily accounting tasks and projects with precision and accuracy.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices, paying invoices to vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, and resolving purchase order or invoice discrepancies.
  • Maintaining organization and confidentiality is essential for this role, as well as obtaining proper approval to classify expenses to appropriate accounts.

Accountabilities:

  • Daily tasks include matching purchase orders to invoices, entering approved invoices into the system to be paid, ensuring proper organization and filing of invoices to be paid, and preparing and performing check runs.
  • The successful candidate will also be responsible for reconciling pending items to be paid monthly and covering various positions on the team as needed.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in accounts payable/receivable is highly desirable, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
  • A strong organizational skillset, good written and verbal communication skills, ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and ability to handle high volumes of work efficiently are all essential.
  • Sound decision-making, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a focus on communication are required.
