Electrical Engineer

Our Water business is a leader in the industry, and we're looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and executing projects that range in size and complexity, with a focus on industrial water and wastewater systems.
Your Key Responsibilities- You will design electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for industrial water and wastewater purposes.
- You will prepare layout drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams for projects using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- You will lead project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor, sub-contractors, and vendors.
- You will approve and prepare proposals and cost estimates and evaluate all project progress and recommend changes.
- You will perform on technically complex projects and act as a technical resource to other team members.
- You will represent project work in client meetings and continue to cultivate relationships with client organizations.
- You will develop project scope, budgets, and design approach for all project sizes, and support marketing and business development professionals in positioning for potential projects, writing technical portions of proposals, participating in client interviews, and supporting negotiations for project contracts.
- You will contribute to the development of new standards and specifications of electrical design.
- You may supervise the work of other project resources, including setting the project budget and their schedules for completing the work in conjunction with Project Manager(s).
- You will be an Engineer of record on your own work product, work of non-licensed engineers, and technologists.
- You have requisite knowledge, interpretation, and application of industry standards as well as electrical codes.
- You have knowledge of electrical material specifications and procurement.
- You have a strong understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications, particularly in the water/wastewater industry.
- You have a strong knowledge of electrical systems means and methods, materials, and industry standards, particularly in the water/wastewater industry.
- You are well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite and Auto Desk products (i.e. AutoCAD, BIM360). Familiarity with Revit is a plus but not a requirement.
- You have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- You have a minimum of five years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- You have specialization in water/wastewater facility design.
- You have experience with the development of schematic control diagrams and block diagrams.
- You have experience with distribution systems operating at 120/208V, 480V, and 4160V.
- You have experience with specialized power system software such as ETAP and SKM PowerTools is a plus, but not a requirement.
- You have experience with the construction phase of the project, including but not limited to shop drawing reviews, RFI reviews, and field inspections.
- You are a Professional Engineer (PE) license or an engineer in training (EIT) with plans to pursue a PE license.
