About the Position
">The Sports Medicine Specialist will be responsible for providing medical coverage at local high school events, as well as assisting with coaching clinics and outreach programs. This role requires strong communication skills, creativity, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
">Responsibilities
">This position involves:
">- ">
- Providing medical coverage at outside games, practices, and tournaments as needed">
- Communicating with athletes, parents, coaches, and physicians regarding playing status and ability to return to competition">
- Demonstrating creativity and efficiency in evaluating and providing patient treatment programs">
- Assessing patients, including review of pertinent medical history information and performance of specific assessments">
- Responsible for educating patients and ensuring understanding of physician's instructions/protocols">
- Participating in state, district, and national athletic training organizations">
Requirements and Qualifications
">To be successful in this role, you must have:
">- ">
- A Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) certification">
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills">
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment">
- Basic life support (BLS) certification">
