Medical Assistant II

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant II to join our team at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health. As a Medical Assistant II, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinic and inpatient cardiology patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Room patients, gather vitals, verify medical information, and prepare for provider visits
- Follow patients for successful discharge, ensuring their pharmacy information is up-to-date and correct
- Act as a liaison with other departments and services to meet patient needs
- Perform clinical duties such as taking vital signs, giving injections, and collecting specimens
- Recognize and treat emergency patients as a priority, assist with patient examinations and treatments
- Register new patients, establish medical records, and prepare patient billings
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
- Previous experience in office or outpatient ambulatory care setting preferred
- Demonstrated strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- American Association Medical Assistants (AAMA) certified - CMA designation or equivalent
