Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in transforming lives through effective communication.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and provide individual and group therapy aligned with IEP goals
  • Evaluate student progress and determine readiness for therapy service termination
  • Conduct independent evaluations to assess eligibility for services
  • Participate in ARD Committee meetings for appropriate placement and goal setting
  • Collaborate with teachers to enhance communication skills through classroom activities
  • Offer professional development to school personnel on identifying and understanding communication deficits
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues, students, and parents about therapy goals
  • Create a conducive learning environment suitable for student maturity levels
  • Coordinate ongoing evaluation of speech-language pathology services and implement changes as needed
  • Assist in the selection of equipment and instructional materials
  • Compile, maintain, and file all necessary reports and records

Working Conditions

Maintaining emotional control under stress

Daily attendance and punctuality are essential

Regular district-wide travel; involving standing, stooping, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, heavy lifting, and moderate carrying

May involve lifting and transferring students with physical disabilities
