The Travelers Indemnity Company seeks a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will be responsible for handling a caseload of predominantly low to moderate complexity litigation cases, providing high-quality legal advice and representation to our clients.

Job Overview

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement case strategies, working closely with claim teams and other stakeholders to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough legal research, analyze complex information, and provide clear and concise recommendations to clients.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery documents, and other critical legal materials.
  • Serve as a liaison between the legal department and claim teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices in litigation and claims management.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3+ years of prior litigation practice or prior legal experience.
  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in good standing in the state(s) where representation is required.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to articulate complex information clearly and persuasively.
