Job Summary:

Ebenezer is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team as a Patient Support Professional. This role is responsible for providing high-quality care and support services to our residents in a Skilled Nursing Community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with personal cares based on individual plans of care, including bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, nail care, dressing, and showers.
  • Support patients by helping to turn, lift, or transfer, and observe residents and report status to appropriate staff in a clear and concise manner.
  • Chart or document in electronic medical record systems, and seek to resolve resident and family concerns.
  • Perform environmental and other responsibilities as assigned, such as maintaining order and cleanliness in rooms and work areas, reporting malfunctioning equipment to maintenance, and answering phones in a timely manner.
  • May check and record vitals, per facility practice.

Requirements:

  • Active on MN Nursing Assistant registry by start date.
  • If hired into the Ebenezer Nursing Assistant Training program, granted a 4-month grace period from hire date to be active on the MN Nursing Assistant registry.
  • Ability to work with a diverse and geriatric population.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with empathy and compassion for others.
  • Experience working in a patient support role (HHA, PCA, DSP, NA, Resident Assistant).
  • Work experience in a customer service setting.
