We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Specialty Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Driscoll Health. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Adhere to federal, state, and local laws related to drug dispensing and patient information.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to health system, pharmacy, and accreditation policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, pharmacy staff, healthcare providers, payers, and health system employees.
- Document patient, payer, and provider communication within the pharmacy dispensing system, specialty pharmacy management system, and electronic medical record.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three to five years of retail pharmacy or specialty pharmacy experience preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, preferred.
- Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy and certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or equivalent required.
