Salary Information

This temporary float position offers an attractive compensation package, including an estimated salary range of $62,000-$85,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, evening and night shift differentials are available for those willing to work non-traditional hours. Job Description

In this critical role, you will collaborate closely with the Clinical Expediter to assess patient eligibility for the Discharge Hospitality Center (DHC). Working together, you will coordinate transfers, ensure smooth transitions, and provide exceptional patient care. Your expertise in electronic medical records, education for discharge, and coordination with pharmacy and security will be invaluable assets to our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Clinical Expediter to determine patient appropriateness for DHC use.
  • Coordinate transfers with unit Charge RNs to facilitate patient arrivals at the DHC.
  • Check patients into the DHC, orient them to the space, and complete any remaining care prior to discharge.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is completed in the Electronic Medical Record, including care provided in the DHC, education for discharge, and AVS completion.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy and security as needed to address patient discharge needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess a current Michigan licensure as a Registered Nurse, with at least two years of recent RN experience. AHA BLS provider certification is also mandatory, with proof of certification required upon offer. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree is preferred, but not essential. Demonstrated flexibility, strong communication skills, and ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team are highly valued attributes in this position.
