Job Summary
">Nuvarce Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the Ob/Gyn Department at our New Milford, CT location.
">About the Role
">This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week with an 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm. As an LPN, you will perform tasks and responsibilities within the framework of case finding, health teaching, health counseling, and provision of supportive and restorative care under the direction of a registered nurse or licensed healthcare provider.
">Responsibilities:

- Greet patients in waiting areas, escort patients to clinical areas, check-outs, and answer patient questions.">
- Telephone call-backs, and telephone care as directed by physician/provider and RN.">
- Patient counseling and education as directed by provider (verbal, brochures, handouts).">
- Responsible for HPN and NYSIIS immunization registration reprinting and account updates if applicable.">
- Preparation of medical records in advance of appointments, including anticipatory tasks such as consent forms, ABNs, PHI Release, obtaining medical records from other providers/facilities, and updating EMR when necessary.">
- Patient check-in: obtain and document chief complaint, vital signs, history, ordered CLIA waived tests; Capture charges for provision of ancillary services.">
- Assists patients with the completion of patient summaries, medication/allergy reconciliation at every office visit, history forms, and in obtaining appropriate treatment consents, including administering and documenting injections, dispensing and documenting medications as directed by physician/provider.">
- Prepare patient and exam rooms; chaperone and assist physician/provider with examinations, procedures, and treatments as needed.">
- Labeling and handling of labs, pap smears, cultures, biopsies, and other specimens; Preparation of laboratory and imaging requisitions.">
- Assist with coordination of further patient care and follow-up, and carry out tasks as directed by RN and/or physician/provider.">
- Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, tests, and treatments in the medical record.">
- Assumes responsibility for patient flow and ensure that patients have follow-up testing and appointments with physicians.">

- Performs other duties as required.">
Requirements

- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting.">
- Licensed Practical Nurse licensure.">
- Basic medical knowledge and terminology.">
- Computer skills/data entry.">
- Skilled in obtaining accurate patient vitals.">
- Vaccine administration and medication preparation.">
Preferred Qualifications
">- ">
- Minimum Experience: one year.">
- Proficiency in multiple languages.">
- Phlebotomy.">
- EKG.">
Education Required
">HS Graduate or Equivalent and Graduate of an accredited LPN Program.

">Compensation and Benefits
">The estimated salary range for this position is $22.25-$41.32 per hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans, as well as paid time off and holidays.
">Work Environment
">This role requires significant manual skills/motor coordination and finger dexterity. Some occupational risk, medium to heavy effort may be exerted, up to 35 pounds force, and some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc. EOE, including disability/vets.
