Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Technician to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals in the Behavioral Health Department. As a member of our team, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and assist with providing patient care. Your primary function will be to provide behavioral health care interventions utilizing the least restrictive interventions that are consistent with a culture of recovery and Trauma Informed Care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform vital signs, assist patients with activities of daily living, and assist with treatments or procedures within documented level of competency.
  • Provide for the safety of patients, visitors, and staff by completing routine and special safety checks.
  • Actively participate in quality management activities by timely reporting of staff, family, visitor, or quality concerns.
  • Facilitate or assist with patient community, education, or activity groups and document patient participation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification required within 60 days of employment start date.
  • High School Graduate/GED required.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. HCA Healthcare offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as 401(k) plan with a 100% match on 3% to 9% of pay (based on years of service).
