Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Windsor Locks Public Schools. This is an exciting opportunity to work with students, parents, and teachers to provide top-notch healthcare services.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess, monitor, and manage students who come to the nurse's office, providing basic nursing care, medication administration, treatment, and dressing changes.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized healthcare plans.
  • Provide health education to students on various topics, including hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student health records, manage medical supplies, and prepare reports for school administration and healthcare providers.
Requirements:
  • A current LPN license in the state of Connecticut.
  • A minimum of one year (preferred) experience working in a school setting or pediatric healthcare environment.
  • Familiarity with state health regulations for public schools.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities.
  • Compassionate and patient nature with a genuine interest in working with children and adolescents.
Benefits:
  • In accordance with contract, you can expect a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience.
  • The successful candidate will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
