Job Summary

The Grant Administrator plays a crucial role in supporting faculty in the preparation and submission of grant applications, as well as maintaining a database of pending and current department research support. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders, including the Administrative Director of the Department of Surgery, Vice Chair of Research, and Executive Director for Surgical Translational Research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist faculty in the preparation and submission of grant applications, including budget development and tracking.
  • Maintain a database of pending and current department research support, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Monitor pre-award and post-award activities of funded projects, identifying potential issues and implementing solutions.
  • Assist with processing and tracking of research-related payables and receivables.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination of research activities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, the Grant Administrator must possess a Bachelor's degree and 5-8 years of related experience. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
