Nurse Practitioner

As a registered nurse in the NICU, you will provide direct patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures. This includes implementing and monitoring patient care plans, monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition as appropriate, and noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Provide primary coordination of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Requirements:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program preferred.
- Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
Education:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.
