Job Summary

As a key member of our culinary team, the Bakery Specialist will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of items, including breads, rolls, muffins, cakes, desserts, and pastries. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Preparation and Baking: Prepare and bake items according to recipes, ensuring high-quality products are delivered to patients and cafeteria customers.
  2. Supply Management: Manage supplies, ingredients, and baking equipment to ensure efficient production and minimize waste.
  3. Quality Control: Inspect ingredients and supplies to ensure they meet departmental requirements, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
  4. Collaboration: Work closely with the Executive Chef to develop new recipes and improve existing ones, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • 6-12 months of experience in commercial or institutional baking, preparing a variety of baked goods.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of baking methods and procedures, baking equipment, and operating commercial ovens.
  • Effective verbal communication skills and ability to read and speak English.
