Job Overview

Sorenson Communications is seeking part-time interpreters to provide high-quality interpretation services for Deaf consumers in various locations. The ideal candidate will have excellent language skills in American Sign Language (ASL) and English, as well as strong internal and external customer service skills.

Responsibilities include effectively interpreting between ASL and spoken English, adhering to Sorenson policies and procedures, and providing excellent customer service while maintaining a professional attitude. The interpreter will work in a team environment, receive support from colleagues, and enhance their interpreting skills through continuing education and training.

Key Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Interpreter certification
  • 3 years' experience working as an interpreter (preferred)
  • Ability to travel independently in the metropolitan area
