We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center, a leading healthcare provider in Texas.

About the Role

This rewarding opportunity involves delivering high-quality patient care, working closely with medical providers and the care team to ensure exceptional outcomes. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing patients' conditions, administering medications, monitoring their progress, and educating them about their treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' conditions during admission and each scheduled shift, identifying any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough documentation of care administration.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor patients for therapeutic responses, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse licensure is required.
  • A minimum of an Associate Degree or equivalent degree in Nursing is preferred.
