Emergency Department Nurse - West Islip NY
Overview:Incredible Health is actively seeking a skilled Emergency Department Nurse to join their team in the West Islip, NY area.
Compensation:The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:As an Emergency Department Nurse, you will serve as the first line of defense for patients requiring urgent medical care. Your duties will include treating patients suffering from trauma, injury or severe medical conditions, quickly assessing patient needs and prioritizing care, monitoring patient health conditions, administering medications and other treatments, operating and maintaining medical equipment, participating in code blue situations, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop care plans, and educating patients and their families about their condition and care plan.
Requirements:To be considered for this role, you must possess an ADN or higher degree in nursing, an active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license, at least 1 year of experience in an emergency room setting, ACLS and PALS certification preferred, and excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, strong communication and collaboration skills, and experience with advanced medical equipment and procedures.
