Paving Laborer Position

Job Overview

Lone Star Paving is seeking a skilled Paving Laborer to join our team. As a key member of our paving crew, you will be responsible for performing tasks involving physical labor at parking lots and roadways.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general laborer duties associated with asphalt paving, patching, or prep crews.
  • Operate small power tools and equipment as needed.
  • Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials.
  • Assist in the placement, moving, and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones, and other traffic control devices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the crew leader.
Safety and Teamwork
  • Promote and adhere to Lone Star Paving's safety policy and encourage all employees to adopt safety as a culture.
  • Work in a safe and responsible manner to prevent injuries to yourself and others.
  • Promote a team approach and maintain open dialogue with all employees to exchange information and ideas.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 0-1 years' experience in the road construction industry.
  • 0-2 years' experience operating a paver is required.
Working Conditions
  • Out-of-town travel may be required.
  • Overtime may be necessary.
  • Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which may include inclement weather, heat, and humidity.
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment is required.
  • Must comply with Lone Star Paving's drug and alcohol testing requirements.
