Electrical Engineer Job Description

At Jobot, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality work within established timeframes and in accordance with activity and tasks labor standards and estimates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Industrial Electricians and Maintenance Technicians to effectively deliver required preventive maintenance and rapidly resolve unplanned maintenance downtime events.
  • Develop and implement plans to optimize preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Conduct technical evaluations of manufacturing assets and ensure compliance with technical engineering standards and legal requirements.
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to Industrial Electricians and Maintenance Technicians.
  • Stay attuned to daily live operational performance and identify and address any variances to plan.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of electrical engineering experience, preferably in heavy industrial, manufacturing, steel/wire production, or related industry; 1+ year in a supervisory role.
  • Certifications: PLC Certification.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency with Industrial Power Theory, PLC programming, and Ladder Logic.
  • Demonstrate exceptional action orientation toward customer-service with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to consolidate data into concise and logically organized executive-ready presentations and reports.

Physical Requirements:
  • Be able to stand, bend, and lift for long periods.
  • Able to work in a non-climate control environment.
  • Able to lift, push, or pull up to 50lbs.
