Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Veterinarian to join our team as a Hospital Medical Leader at one of our full-service veterinary hospitals. As a key member of our hospital leadership team, you will be responsible for providing medical direction, mentoring and coaching our veterinarians, and ensuring that we deliver exceptional patient care and outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. You will be working closely with our Area Medical Director and other hospital leaders to develop and implement business strategies that drive growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the overall experience for our clients and patients.

Salary: $115,960 - $185,640 per year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical direction and guidance to our veterinarians and support staff
  • Mentor and coach our veterinarians to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional patient care
  • Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the overall experience for our clients and patients
  • Collaborate with our Area Medical Director and other hospital leaders to achieve business objectives
  • Ensure that we maintain the highest standards of patient care and safety

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
  • Active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state in which the hospital is located or ability to obtain by start date
  • Current DEA license
  • Current Controlled Substance License, if applicable, in state in which the hospital is located or ability to obtain by start date
  • USDA Category I (minimum) Accreditation or completion within two months of hire date
