About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced sales professional to join our team and drive sales growth in the hardscaping industry. As a Territory Sales Professional, you will be responsible for selling hardscaping and outdoor living materials to contractors in Central Virginia.
Main Responsibilities:
- Sell hardscaping, outdoor living, and other accessories to customers in Central Virginia.
- Develop strong relationships with current and potential customers in the territory, including contractors in Harrisonburg, Front Royal, Winchester, Manassas, Fredericksburg, Charlottesville, Richmond, Woodbridge, and surrounding areas.
- Take high-quality photos and videos of completed and ongoing projects to showcase products and services.
- Collaborate with operational and logistics staff to ensure seamless customer experiences.
- Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitors, and product offerings to effectively position products and services.
- Analyze customer needs and demands to identify sales opportunities.
- Prepare sales contracts, quotes, and credit terms for customer orders.
- Utilize marketing tools, such as catalogs and brochures, to promote company products and services.
- Research and analyze sales reports to identify areas for improvement and growth.
- Attend trade shows and events to stay connected with industry professionals and promote company products.
- Travel 30% to 60% locally to meet with customers and attend industry events.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in channel distribution sales or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of outside B2B sales experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to determine solutions for customers and work independently.
- Intermediate computer proficiency and valid driver's license.
- Results-oriented and motivated to achieve targets.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
