Job Overview
We are committed to providing high-quality childcare services that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children.
In this role, you will work closely with the Lead Teacher to create engaging lesson plans, foster positive relationships with children and families, and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities
• Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that align with DCFS licensing, NAEYC, and Head Start performance standards
• Engage with children to facilitate social and academic learning, promoting a sense of belonging and community
• Collaborate with the classroom team to ensure seamless communication and coordination
• Provide exceptional customer service to parents and families, fostering open communication and building trust
• Participate in recruitment efforts to grow the program and serve more families
• Act as an ambassador for Erie Neighborhood House Child Care, promoting our mission and values

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• An Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field
• An Illinois Gateway ECE credential level 4 within six months of employment
• Experience working in licensed daycare settings
• Bilingual/bicultural Spanish skills a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, sit on the floor for extended periods, and respond immediately to emergency situations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for working with diverse populations
