Senior Data Scientist

The Opportunity:
We're looking for someone like you to lead complex data exploration and analytics projects for the Department of Defense. You'll learn and apply innovative data analytic methodologies to make a real-world impact on the development of decision support tools.
You'll grow your skills in data science, AI, and bibliometrics, shaping the future of analytics through innovative portfolio analysis and decision-support tooling in DoD environments.

Whether you're using AI to improve government efficiency or support the development of defense capabilities, you'll guide a team that serves critical missions from end to end.
Requirements:
- Experience with Python
- Experience with clustering and topic modeling, automated query generation, implementation of GenerativeAI and Large Language Models, natural language processing of unstructured data, entity disambiguation, network analysis, bibliometric and citation analysis, econometric analysis, relationship extraction, or Science and Technology forecasting
- Experience in data science tool development
- Experience devising and managing AI/ML and GenAI based projects aligned to business needs
- Experience in ETL data pipeline development
- Experience in object-oriented programming
- Ability to cross-validate models to ensure their generalizability
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or Statistics
- CompTIA Security+ CE certification
Nice to Have:
- Experience coordinating a workstream and managing tasks
- Experience in data science with a focus on Science and Technology programs
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or relevant certification
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220, annualized USD.
This estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
