This is an exciting opportunity to join Atrium Health as an Emergency Care Specialist in our Kannapolis ED FT Evenings team.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our emergency department. As an Emergency Care Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing patients, developing individualized care plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions to achieve optimal outcomes.
Responsibilities- Patient Assessment and Care Planning: Collect and analyze data to identify potential diagnoses, problems, and issues; develop individualized care plans that prescribe strategies to attain expected outcomes.
- Care Delivery and Coordination: Implement identified care plans, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
- Team Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with healthcare consumers and other key stakeholders in the conduct of nursing practice; communicate effectively in all areas of practice.
- Professional Development and Growth: Lead within the professional practice setting and the profession; integrate evidence and research findings into practice.
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A graduate degree from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
- A current Basic Life Support certification per policy guidelines.
- A current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state in which you work and reside.
- The ability to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
We offer a competitive salary range of $73,000 - $92,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, we provide comprehensive benefits packages, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
