Procurement Specialist

Job Summary:

EnerSys Brasil Ltda. is seeking a highly skilled Buyer II to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for managing and ensuring the purchasing of materials, services, and/or equipment for our assigned purchasing portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review customer orders on a daily basis and ensure timely and uninterrupted supply of materials.
• Contact potential vendors, perform reference checks, and evaluate each purchase requisition for the most appropriate methods of procurement.
• Review purchase orders for accuracy and convert purchase requisitions to purchase orders.
• Establish priorities for assigned commodities with key vendors and ensure priorities are maintained.
• Maintain effective communication with internal and external customers.
• Interface with all levels of management both internally and externally.
• Continuously strive to reduce the cost of assigned commodities.
• Interact with the engineering department to assist in the sourcing of materials, with respect to cost, quality, and availability of materials.
• Generate reports per specified processes that measure key buyer performance metrics.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar position.
• At minimum High School Diploma, preferred Associate's or bachelor's degree in procurement or a related field.
• Knowledge of software programs, including MS Office, etc.
• Foreign language is a plus, English a must.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills.
• Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment.
• Knowledge of MRP and ERP.
• Knowledge of manufacturing environment and material costing.
• Knowledge of market analysis and supplier relationship.
