Lead, Systems Engineer (Integration & Test and Field Service Site Lead)

Job Summary:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an experienced Lead Systems Engineer to lead the integration and test of electromechanical systems from design phase through development, documentation, installation, and sell-off. The successful candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of RF and/or Radar Systems and in-depth knowledge of integration, test, and field installation of complex systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Integration & Test and Field Service Engineers to ensure electrical, physical, and operational compatibility to meet program technical, schedule, and cost objectives.
  • Review and develop integration procedures for hardware, software, and facilities.
  • Ensure physical and electrical compatibility of functional interfaces and first-article product integration.
  • Develop and implement system-level test plans, procedures, and customer acceptance.
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineering to define Requirements Verification Matrices (VCRMs) that balance capabilities, cost, and efficiency of verification.
  • Manage Cost Account Management (CAM) and statusing of multiple projects for I&T.
  • Plan and lead test working groups and Test Readiness Reviews (TRR).
  • Direct interface with Program Management, Chief Systems Engineer (CSE), and Customer regarding staffing, integration, verification, and installation planning.
  • Troubleshoot failures of tests and track issues through resolution.
  • Identify risks and opportunities for specific test activities.
  • Evaluate and define test equipment requirements needed for verification of system-level requirements.
  • Coordinate customer site surveys, training, installation, Site Acceptance Test, and all other on-site activities with the Program Manager and Field Engineers.
  • Direct customer interaction on site, representing L3Harris and gathering Voice of Customer.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 15 years of prior related experience.
  • 9+ years experience as a Technical Team Lead / Integrated Project Team Lead (IPTL).
  • 7+ years experience with using high-speed digital and RF test equipment.
  • 7+ years experience in RF or Digital engineering and troubleshooting techniques, tools, and process.
  • 5+ years experience supporting manufacturing production of electronic devices; preferably in the Radar Systems industry.
  • Prior experience generating presentations and briefing internal and external customers.
  • Prior experience executing throughout the full System lifecycle.
  • Active US DOD SECRET security clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Prior experience as a Team Lead, Cost Account Manager (CAM), Field Service Engineer, or similar role responsible for managing people, time, and labor budgets.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a technical information environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Prior experience in Radar Systems or related industry.
  • Previous experience supporting DoD/government customers.
  • Military Hardware Environmental and Electrical Qualification.
  • Familiarity with Mil-STD 810g and Mil-STD 461g Testing and Analysis.
  • Experience with OSHA requirements and ESD best practices.
Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $122,500 - $227,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
