Patient Care Coordinator Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at Holy Cross Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of patient care throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interview patients to verify demographic and financial information, while working within HCMG/hospital policies and procedures.
- Confirm changes in address, phone number, or insurance information with patients.
- Verify insurance validity and coverage.
- Obtain HMO/PPO authorizations, if applicable.
- Enter changes in the IDX System and document patient information on the comment screen/sticky notes.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a medical office setting and knowledge of CPT and ICD9 codes and health care insurance preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, staff, and visitors.
