PACS Informatics Specialist

At The University of Texas at Austin, we are seeking an experienced PACS Informatics Analyst to join our team in the Dell Medical School. This role is responsible for managing clinical imaging systems, modality connectivity, and providing day-to-day support to end-users of various radiology imaging systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and merge outside exams for consult studies requested by other physicians.
- Support clinical staff with connecting to other facilities to electronic send/receive DICOM images.
- Troubleshoot issues preventing storage for image upload on PACS.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a health, science, or business field.
- 2-3 years of related professional experience in the imaging field.
- Experience with Radiology Information Systems and Picture Archive Communication Systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5-7 years demonstrated experience in applications analysis, management, implementing, and supporting systems in a hospital setting.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology Certification/License.
Working Conditions:
- Uniforms and/or personal protection equipment furnished.
- May work around standard office conditions.
- Occasional weekend, overtime, and evening work to meet deadlines.
