We are seeking a skilled Imaging Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health in Glenview, Illinois.

Job Overview

This is an ongoing opportunity for a Radiology Technologist to operate x-ray equipment, produce radiographs, and assist radiologists in performing fluoroscopic examinations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, basic understanding of R.I.S., and computer knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate X-Ray Equipment: Maneuver portable radiographic equipment in patient care areas and in surgery as required. Operate all components including locking devices on radiographic, fluoroscopic equipment, and C-arms.
  • Assist Radiologists: Assist radiologists in performing fluoroscopic examinations, mini-special procedures in the fluoroscopic suites, and radiographic examination in surgery as required.
  • Patient Positioning: Determine appropriate exposure factors and positions patients using immobilization devices to ensure optimum film quality.
  • Quality Control: Review radiographs to ensure optimal quality, report environmental/equipment problems, and perform required computer functions for RIS/HIS systems.
  • Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area, inventory of supplies, and use Universal Precautions in daily performance of procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or Certificate/Ancillary Degree in Radiology Technology.
  • Experience: Previous experience is desirable.
  • Certifications: ARRT Registered or Registry Eligible IDNS Licensed, Current CPR Certification.
  • Skills: Good communication skills, basic understanding of R.I.S., and computer knowledge.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
