Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Instructor to join our team at Community Residences. As a Residential Instructor, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for our clients, while also facilitating their personal growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide direct care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living tasks, medication administration, and behavioral interventions.
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, to address clients' unique needs and goals.
  3. Monitor clients' physical and behavioral changes, and report any concerns to the supervisor or program manager.
  4. Assist with meal preparation, laundry, and household chores, while maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
  5. Supervise family visitation and participate in community-based outings and recreational activities.
  6. Participate in mandatory training and in-services, and maintain certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree preferred, with at least one year of experience in the human services field.
  • Valid CT driver's license and good driving record.
  • Ability to attend all required training and in-servicing.
  • Good to excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends.
