Doughnut Decorator

Krispy Kreme Dyer Road is seeking a skilled Doughnut Decorator to join our team. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that every doughnut that leaves our store meets our high standards of quality and freshness.

Responsibilities include:

• Greeting customers with a smile and listening carefully to their needs
• Maintaining a pleasant and courteous demeanor at all times
• Filling customer orders quickly and accurately, including products, condiments, and change
• Recording customer product selections in the Point of Sale system efficiently and accurately
• Following all company established cash handling procedures, including checks, cash, receipts, and credit cards
• Inspecting all doughnuts and removing any that are misshapen, too small, or otherwise imperfect
• Applying fillings, icings, and other toppings following Krispy Kreme product specifications
• Stocking and rotating product on carts, filling and icing hoppers, and display cases to ensure freshness and proper appearance
• Consistently modeling all store policies, standards, and practices
• Fulfilling wholesale orders by packaging, dating, and safety sealing the product
• Being familiar with the operations of all front-of-the-house equipment, including the espresso machine, coffee equipment, commercial oven, and chiller machine
• Baking assorted pastry items using a commercial oven
• Working to minimize waste as much as possible
• Helping to raise funds through our cause marketing efforts that help non-profit organizations
• Learning and sharing key facts about Krispy Kreme and the Hot Light story with customers
• Hosting birthday party events, family night activities, and conducting school Krispy Kreme factory tours
• Practicing 'clean-as-you-go' techniques to maintain a clean work area
• Exhibiting suggestive selling behavior, such as up-selling larger sizes and special promotions
• Thanking customers for their purchase and encouraging a return visit
• Demonstrating safety consciousness at all times and reporting any incidents to a supervisor
• Assisting in maintaining a high level of store sanitation and cleanliness
• Following all Krispy Kreme standards for Food Safety Program and HACCP Plans
• Reporting any equipment failure or issues to a supervisor in a timely manner
• Reporting suspicious employee/customer behavior to a supervisor

Requirements include:

• Ability to read and communicate using the English language
• Ability to make simple mathematical calculations
• Ability to handle difficult customer situations professionally
