ClearSky Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nurses Aide to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality care to patients in our inpatient rehabilitation setting.
Job Summary:The Certified Nurses Aide will work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide direct, non-invasive bedside care to patients. This includes prioritizing and delivering basic patient care, performing and documenting vital signs, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Responsibilities:- Prioritize and deliver basic patient care, including bathing, toileting, feeding, grooming, etc.
- Perform and document vital signs, measures and records intake and output, weights, specimen collections, etc.
- Transfer patients utilizing proper body mechanics and safe patient handling techniques.
- Report any changes observed in condition or behavior of patient to appropriate nursing personnel.
- Assist in preparing unit, patient rooms, and patient beds for receiving patient admissions.
- Maintain bed and room in a clean, neat, safe, and comfortable manner.
- Remove supplies and equipment not in use; placing furnishings and equipment out of the path in order to provide a safe, neat, and organized area.
- Adhere to patient rounding expectations and standards.
- Assist in maintaining a physical, social, and psychological environment conducive to aiding in patient comfort and healing.
- Promptly and appropriately respond to patient and family calls and requests.
- Appropriately designate applicable charges to individual patients using hospital's established system.
- May be required to work during inclement weather and other staffing emergencies.
- Provide an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff. Assess the risks for safety and implement appropriate precautions. Comply with appropriate and approved safety and Infection Prevention standards.
- Maintain regular attendance in keeping with assigned work schedule.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall effectiveness of the organization.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- 2 years of experience in inpatient hospital setting required, inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.
- Current state CNA certification required.
- CPR certification required.
A significant amount of standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling, often for prolonged periods. Both gross and precise motor functions. Lifting/exerting of up to 50 lbs. Possible exposure to bodily fluids. Visual acuity required for patient assessment and documentation of care. Acute hearing required for accurate patient assessment. Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard. Close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
