Job Summary:

As a CT Technologist at Johns Hopkins Health System, you will be responsible for performing all CT examinations according to department procedure manual and established protocols. This includes interviewing patients for history pertaining to CT exams, preparing and administering contrast media, and monitoring patients for any abnormal changes. You will also be responsible for confirming patient identification, providing radiation protection, and assisting radiologists in IR CT examinations.

Responsibilities:

Performs all CT examinations according to department procedure manual and established protocols.
Interviews patients for history pertaining to CT exams and prepares and administers contrast media as needed.
Monitors patients for any abnormal changes and responds appropriately to emergency situations.
Confirms patient identification and provides radiation protection according to prescribed radiation safety standards.
Assists radiologists in IR CT examinations, including biopsies.

Requirements:

Minimum of high school diploma or GED required.
Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) required.
Two years of experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist required.
CPR certification required.
CT certification required.
