Leidos seeks a highly skilled cybersecurity professional to join our team as a Cybersecurity Operations Specialist. This role will be part of our Network Operations Security Center (NOSC) team, providing critical support for monitoring and responding to cyber threats and adversarial activity on the enterprise.

The NOSC is responsible for detecting, analyzing, mitigating, and responding to security events and incidents. As a key member of this team, you will work closely with other analysts to provide 24x7 support across multiple shifts. Your duties will include network security monitoring, detection, and response, as well as investigating and analyzing logs, providing analysis and response to alerts, and documenting activity in NOSC investigations and Security Event Notifications (SENs).

Your primary responsibilities will include managing and conducting hands-on technical detection, analysis, containment, eradication, and remediation as a member of the Incident Response team. You will also guide and mentor peers and subordinates to provide cross-training, ensure accountability and punctuality of security analysts assigned to your shift, capture cybersecurity metrics that support executive-level briefings, and articulate daily challenges to the Government Watch Officer (GWO).

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's Degree and 2-4 years of SOC analyst experience. You should also possess extensive knowledge of a SOC's/NOSC's purpose and role within an organization, detailed understanding of common network ports and protocols, and expertise with network topologies and network security device functions. Additionally, you should be proficient in packet analysis tools such as Wireshark and have certification in cybersecurity, such as Sec+, CEH, CySA+, or SANS.

This role requires a TS/SCI clearance to start, and preference will be given to candidates with current/active TS/SCI clearance. US Citizenship is also required.

The salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $117,500.00, which reflects the level of responsibility, education, and experience required for this role.
