Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Music Therapist to join our Therapeutic Recreation team at Mozaic Senior Life. As a Music Therapist, you will play a vital role in organizing and conducting therapeutic recreation activities that enhance the sensory motor, cognitive, and psychosocial skills of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement group activities and one-to-one sessions that cater to the diverse needs of our residents.
  • Document resident assessments, progress notes, attendance, and discharge summaries in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Coordinator, Therapeutic Recreation to input MDS/care plan data and attend RCP meetings.
  • Transport residents to and from scheduled activity areas, prepare activity spaces, and maintain inventory of equipment and supplies.
  • Drive company vehicles as required for outings and participate in staff meetings.
  • Exhibit leadership qualities, mentor residents, and engage them in recreation programs.
  • Assess and document the needs and progress of residents, and participate in resident community outings.
  • Maintain necessary credentials to provide Music Therapy to residents.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy
  • No experience necessary
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to handle multiple demands and deadlines, read and communicate effectively, and utilize various software packages
