About the Job

This Regional Tanker truck driver position requires hauling liquid chemical freight in tanker trailers. As a driver with Schneider, you can expect to be home for 34-48 hours, typically on weekends, with five loads per week. Our drivers earn mileage pay, plus hourly pay while on duty, not driving, providing a stable income.

In addition to competitive pay, our drivers receive weekly performance pay, which incentivizes them to deliver high-quality service to our customers. By obtaining additional CDL certifications, drivers can also earn up to $0.03 more per mile, further increasing their earning potential.

Requirements

To qualify for this position, applicants must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and have a tanker endorsement required at time of hire. HazMat endorsement is also required after starting, but Schneider provides self-paced online certification training to help drivers secure it.

Drivers must live within 75 miles of Columbus, OH or Seville, OH and reside in Ohio. This ensures that drivers are easily accessible to our terminals and can respond quickly to customer needs.
