About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for an experienced RN to utilize their skills and expertise in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care, including assessing patient needs, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise nursing assessments to identify conditions and problems, initiate problem lists, and create treatment plans for patients with substance use disorders.
  • Ongoing assessment of patient needs and updating nursing care plans related to substance use disorders.
  • Rounds with physicians to assess patients, receive orders, and note specialized patient care requirements.
  • Ensure that physician's orders are transcribed and carried out.
  • Act as liaison between physician and patient care team.
  • Responsible for submitting reports, such as QA reports, infection control, and pharmacy error reports.
  • Makes presentations and facilitates educational groups & sessions.
  • Monitors and documents withdrawal symptoms; trains other staff as needed.
  • Provides leadership for staff, delegates responsibilities within scope of personnel abilities.
  • Provides and coordinates clinical learning experiences.
  • May be responsible for preparing monthly schedules to provide adequate nursing coverage.
