About the Role

The Service Estimator is responsible for serving as the liaison between customers and our team at Transwest. By providing a consistent source of information, technicians and shop foremen can perform their duties with minimal interruptions. Coordinating with customers, obtaining necessary information, and creating accurate repair orders are key responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Some essential duties include:

  • Greeting customers and answering phones in a professional manner.
  • Interviewing clients to determine the required repairs and gathering all necessary information.
  • Supporting customer calls from the field in a timely manner.
  • Providing quotes/estimates on a timely basis.
  • Creating repair orders by identifying vehicle condition, estimating repair time, and getting quotes/estimates from the shop if necessary.
  • Answering service calls and delivering timely updates to clients regarding status updates on work being performed and scheduling work.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license and MVR in good standing, with the ability to obtain a CDL within 90 days of employment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with truck, trailer, and body shop repairs is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a salary range of $50,000 to $65,000 per year, along with various benefits and perks. Reports to the Service Manager and works Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The ideal candidate will be able to provide excellent customer service, work efficiently, and collaborate with the team to achieve goals.
