Job Summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking an experienced Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our dynamic team in Omaha, NE. As a key member of our Hospital Medicine Service, you will work closely with our experienced Hospitalists to cover general medical admissions during evening and overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have experience working in an inpatient setting and possess excellent communication and teamwork skills. Key responsibilities include:

  • Diagnosing and treating various medical conditions
  • Developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans
  • Conducting thorough medical examinations and histories
  • Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Providing clear and concise medical information
  • Fostering a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Documenting medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans
  • Ensuring compliance with coding and billing regulations
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging
  • Performing procedures as needed
  • Collaborating with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation
  • Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions
  • Providing consultative services to other healthcare providers
  • Reviewing and analyzing clinical outcomes for continuous improvement
  • Implementing changes to enhance patient care and safety

 

Qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity, you must possess:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • A Master's degree in Nurse Practitioner Studies or Physician Assistant from an accredited program
  • For APRNs - Acute Care certification is highly desired
  • Experienced providers must have worked in an inpatient setting
  • Certification by a nationally recognized certification organization
  • Ability to obtain licensure in Nebraska and Iowa
  • BLS certification

 

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is $130,119. This figure is based on the provided job description and location.
